This summer, Aman Spa joins hands with Tong Ren Tang, a Traditional Chinese Medicine practice that treated the Imperial Palace of the Qing dynasty for hundreds of years, to develop a Summer Signature Massage. Tong Ren Tang delicately developed the seasonal herbal poultice to clear summer heat, tranquilize the mind, nourish the heart and activate blood circulations. Before the treatment, the therapist places the herbal pack into an essential oil container where it is heated by candle flame. Afterwards, the pack is immersed in sweet almond oil before being employed in the treatment. Combining modern techniques with traditional Chinese court practices, this massage help guests achieve a balance of body and mind.
