A unique Hutong hotel in Beijing is the Layering Courtyard, standing on the prosperous Qianmen Street, yet tucked away in the depths of an old Hutong in tranquility. The construction has been largely renovated but still maintains the old Siheyuan (courtyard) outlook, featuring black bricks and red arch doors. Stepping in, it’s a totally different charm. The original inner court is devided into three yards, retreating progressively from outside in, from public to privacy.
