SPA InterContinental, the branded SPA of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, debuted in Sichuan at InterContinental Century City Chengdu recently. Adhering to natural wellness philosophy, the Spa selected natural spa brands Pevonia and Phytomer as its product houses. Integrating organic and marine plant essence with advanced massage techniques from east and west, the Spa offers a diversity of body and facial treatments to detox, moisturize and relax body and mind. There are seven independent spa suites, all with private changing areas and some of the suites are equipped with Jacuzzi and steam shower. In the rest room, spa cuisine and tea are provided for post-treatment relaxation.

Hidden away in Shanghai’s brand-new lifestyle destination, The Retreat Spa at The Sukhothai Shanghai opened in May. Located on the lower ground level, The Retreat is comprised of two private treatment suites, one with a whirlpool, and three single treatment suites. The Spa offers a variety of treatments in four categories, including The Retreat Signature, Discover Lava Shells, Full Body Massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Curated by expert therapists, the menu is highlighted by Southeast Asian therapeutic treatments paired with blended essential oils such as jasmine, lemongrass, patchouli and bergamot.
